INFORMA at the European Carbon Farming Summit
On 17–19 March, all eyes are on Padua as the European Carbon Farming Summit 2026 takes place. The summit is sold out, but the organisers have announced live streams, including a very special session for us at INFORMA.
Our project partners I4CE and Climate KIC are co-organising a parallel session that explores how Improved Forest Management (IFM) can deliver credible, climate-resilient removals in Europe under the EU Carbon Removals and Carbon Farming Framework (CRCF) and the evolving LULUCF policy context.
By combining project developer perspectives, economic analysis, and emerging monitoring tools, the session will surface actionable recommendations for inclusive, cost-effective, and scientifically robust pathways to scale IFM and forest carbon farming across diverse European contexts.
Simon Martel (I4CE) will be setting the scene and presenting INFORMA’s results on carbon certification and George McLoughlin(Climate KIC) will moderate the session.
