Missiomme on tuottaa tieteeseen perustuvia, kestävän metsien hoidon käytäntöjä, jotka edistävät metsien hiilen sitomista ja turvaavat monimuotoisuutta sekä erilaisten ekosysteemipalvelujen tuotantoa muuttuvassa ilmastossa. Hyödynnämme tutkimuksessa erilaisia tutkimusaineistoja ja edistyksellisiä tutkimuksen työkaluja sekä osallistavia lähestymistapoja, millä pyrimme edistämään yhteistyötä eri aloilla (metsätalous, tiede, politiikka’, hiilimarkkinat, koko yhteiskunta) toimivien sidosryhmien kanssa. INFORMAa rahoittaa Euroopan komission Horizon Europe Research and Innovation -ohjelma.
Tapaustutkimuksia
INFORMA:n tapaustutkimukset edustavat Euroopan monipuolisia ja erilaisia metsiä (FMU) viidellä tärkeimmällä luonnonmaantieteellisellä alueella, jotka kattavat 96 prosenttia EU:n alueesta ja 94 prosenttia sen metsistä.
